Have you ever tried to connect your digital camera as a system webcam ,If no then you can try this because your digital camera is the best option for webcam , this will not just give good image quality but also provide option to record your cam activities.
To perform this you will need to Install your Digital camera software provided along with your camera If you don’t have the installation software, search digital camera company (For Ex- Canon ) website for a downloadable version.
Connect the camera to the computer using the FireWire cable. The camera should be turned on when you connect it to the computer.
Once you install the software, Canon will create its own program folder in your computer. Go to your Canon system settings in that folder. Set the camera function to “webcam.” (This setting may also appear as “live stream.”).
Check your setting that whether your camera is storing your video in external memory or in internal memory,If internal memory then camera will stop straming if memory runs out, then it will work just like a cam , it will not store anything.
